Lake Effect

Situated at 155 W 200 S in downtown Salt Lake City, Lake Effect is a dynamic venue that seamlessly blends upscale dining, craft cocktails, and live entertainment. Housed in the historic 1910 Hotel Victor building, the establishment offers a vintage-modern ambiance across its three distinct spaces: the Main Floor, the subterranean Rabbit Hole speakeasy, and the upstairs Church bar and club. Since its inception in 2017, Lake Effect has become a cornerstone of Salt Lake City’s nightlife and dining scene.
The culinary offerings at Lake Effect are a fusion of New American cuisine with Latin and Asian influences. Signature dishes include Carnitas Tacos with pineapple and jalapeño, Crab Cake Sliders, and the Carne Asada & Shrimp Skillet. The brunch menu, available on weekends from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM, features items like Boozy French Toast and Chilaquiles. Complementing the food is an extensive drink menu boasting over 100 wines, 150 beers, and a vast selection of spirits.
Lake Effect is renowned for its nightly live music performances, offering a platform for local and touring artists. The venue’s diverse spaces cater to various moods—from the lively Main Floor with its art nouveau decor to the intimate Rabbit Hole speakeasy and the energetic Church club upstairs. This versatility makes it an ideal spot for both casual outings and special occasions.
